What is the San Mateo 101 Express Lanes Go Card?
The Go Card helps cover transportation costs for qualifying San Mateo County residents. Participants can receive a $200 mobility debit card to be spent on qualifying transportation purchases.
Your Go Card can be used to fund trips on public transit, express lanes, toll bridges, paratransit, and bike or scooter rentals, including the providers listed below:

Simply use your card as a new payment method when adding funds directly to your existing Bay Area transportation accounts, such as Clipper or FasTrak®, or to pay for services like BayWheels and Lime scooters. Please note that your Go Card can’t be reloaded with outside funds.
You can apply to receive another $200 after a year if you still meet the eligibility requirements.
Am I Eligible?
You must meet the following three qualifications:
- Resident of San Mateo County
- Age 18 or older
- Earn an individual annual income at or below 60% of San Mateo County Area Median Income (AMI). [Note that the program income requirements consider only the applicant’s individual annual income, but if the individual is the head of household, then the 60% of AMI by household size threshold can be considered. Detailed income limits based on household size can be found at the San Mateo County website, under the HUD-defined AMI limits: https://www.smcgov.org/housing/income-limits-and-rent-payments
Multiple people in one household may receive a Go Card, provided that they each meet the eligibility requirements.
